The building that houses Barraquer Ophthalmology Centre was built in the period 1934-1941. It was designed by architect Joaquín Lloret Homs, with direct and personal intervention of Ignacio Barraquer, who wished to apply to his clinic the ideals of the Bauhaus and Art Deco spirit.
