MIR Program

Legal framework:

Specialist medical training is regulated in Spain by Royal Decree 904/2001 and Decree of June 27, 1989, which establishes the obligation to attend courses and tests for any of the squares of medical interns and residents (MIR ) offered each year.

To access the calls made annually by the Ministry of Health must be in possession of Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, approved equivalent or, failing that, the processing of the guard, to be attached to the and submit a formal request for these documents in the same ministry, the government office or branch office or diplomatic or consular offices of Spain abroad.

Requirements:

  1. The applicant must have passed the examination and obtained MIR to study law specialization.

  2. Must reach the secretary of the Institute, with sufficient advance the allocation of places, the "resume" written by hand, accompanied by transcripts and personal data, along with the required application.

  3. You should not have physical disabilities or any order, which will prevent the normal practice of ophthalmology.

  4. The applicant must pass an interview test after that will be provided, where appropriate, the conformity to pursue the specialty of ophthalmology at the Center.

MIR Program length:

The duration of a specialization in ophthalmology is 4 years.

Number of places credits:

The Centre is accredited to support new residents each year 5.

Registration requirements:

You must be in possession of Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (or proof of having processed). After reviewing the curriculum and other qualifications that the candidate can claim, the Teaching Commission of IUB determines admission.

The foreign doctors who wish to clinical and surgical practice should be validated in Spain his degree in Medicine, to be registered at the College of Physicians of the province of Barcelona and have signed a liability policy.
