Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (1961), a specialist in Ophthalmology (1964). He specializes in surgery of the anterior segment of the eyeball, with an extensive experience in corneal transplant and cataract surgery. He is currently a consultant at Centro de Oftalmología Barraquer in corneal and ocular surface pathology. He is a member of various medical societies, and he maintains an outstanding presence in ophthalmic associations of Paraguay.

Among his awards and distinctions, there is the Gold Medal of the Department of Ophthalmology, National University of Asunción (Paraguay).
