Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Barcelona (1988). She works in Centro de Oftalmología Barraquer in the Glaucoma Unit, specializing in cataract surgery and surgical treatment of glaucoma.

Her clinical activity is complemented by an important educational labor as Teacher in Master Courses at Barraquer Institute, and as instructor of residents, among other functions. She has published numerous articles and is a member of the Editorial Board of the journal "Anales del Instituto Barraquer" having obtained different and very prestigious scientific awards.

She has also participated in several clinical trials of new treatments for glaucoma.
