Bachelor in Psychology (1991), she further graduated in Medicine (1996), doing her practice at the Philippine General Hospital. She specialized in Ophthalmology at the East Avenue Medical Center (2000). That same year she won a scholarship to pursue a "fellowship" and a Master course at Institut Universitari Barraquer, and she incorporated as a staff ophthalmologist of Centro de Oftalmología Barraquer in 2008.

Currently she is specialized in eye surface and cornea pathology, and she collaborates with in the Eye Bank Department of Cornea Conservation for treatment of blindness.

It is to emphasize her research work in various projects on stem cell culture, in collaboration with various institutes. She participates in Barraquer’s Foundation expeditions to Cameroon to visit and operate the local population and to train local doctors and technicians.
