Degree in Medicine and General Surgery at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (1997-2004), and Residency training in Ophthalmology at Centro de Oftalmología Barraquer (2005-2009), Dr. Salvador Culla continues his career in the United States where between 2010 and 2015 he completes two Fellowships in clinical research, one at the “Boston Kpro group” (Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School, Boston) and the other one at the “Kohane Lab for Biomaterials and Drug delivery” (Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, and Langer Lab, Koch Institute, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston). In March of 2015 he moves to the United Kingdom where he completes a clinical Fellowship in “Cornea, External Eye Diseases and Cataract Surgery” at the Royal Victoria Infirmary (Newcastle Upon Tyne Trust Hospital, NHS, Newcastle Upon Tyne). He moves back to Barcelona in October of 2016 and joins the Centro de Oftalmología Barraquer as one of the specialists in the Anterior Segment, Cornea and Refractive Surgery Department.
