The Royal Academy of Medicine of Catalonia held yesterday, May 25, an extraordinary session for the reception of the winners with the Academic title corresponding to the Professor Joaquín Barraquer Award, for the years 2020 and 2021.

Dr. Victor Charoenrook was the winner of 2020 with his work entitled “Comparison of long-term results between osteo-odonto-keratoprosthesis and tibial bone keratoprosthesis”. For her part, Dr. María Fideliz de la Paz received the 2021 award for her work entitled "Osteo-odonto, tibial bone and Boston keratoprosthesis in clinically comparable cases of chemical injury and autoimmune disease."

Both winners were welcomed by the academic Professor Rafael I. Barraquer, on behalf of the Royal Academy of Medicine of Catalonia and presented their respective work to those attending the event.
