Barraquer has always dedicated efforts and resources to the promotion of research, development and innovation in the field of ophthalmology. The Barraquer Ophthalmology Centre research department is currently working on its own clinical and experimental projects as well as multi-centre studies, creating synergies with other medical organisations, research centres, universities and pharmaceutical labs.
