Dr. Fairooz Puthiyapurayil Manjandavida is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with 20 years of experience, specializing in ophthalmic plastic, facial aesthetic and orbital surgery, and ocular oncology. She has extensive international experience across India, China, the United States and the UAE, with expertise in complex ocular tumors, retinoblastoma, orbital disease, eyelid reconstruction and oculofacial surgery.
She completed advanced fellowship training in Ophthalmic Plastic, Aesthetic & Orbital Surgery and Ocular Oncology at LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, followed by an Ocular Oncology Fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital, Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia. She is also pursuing a PhD in Uveal Melanoma at Leiden University, Netherlands.
Her clinical expertise includes retinoblastoma, uveal and choroidal melanoma, pediatric ocular tumors, orbital and eyelid tumors, and ocular surface tumors. Her surgical expertise includes eyelid and facial reconstruction, ptosis correction, orbital fracture repair, socket reconstruction, thyroid eye disease and orbital decompression, lacrimal surgery, blepharoplasty and other functional and aesthetic oculofacial procedures.
Dr. Fairooz has held senior clinical and leadership positions at leading ophthalmic and cancer institutions in India, China and the UAE. She has also contributed to international surgical teaching and ocular oncology outreach programmes focused on improving access to retinoblastoma and eye cancer care.
She has authored 32+ peer-reviewed publications and clinical reviews and has received multiple international awards for her contributions to ophthalmology and scientific research.
