Dr. Imad Hakim is a Consultant Ophthalmologist specializing in Cataract and Refractive Vision Correction Surgery, with more than 15 years of regional and international experience. He has practiced in Germany and the UAE at some of the region’s most respected eye care institutions, delivering advanced, patient-centered ophthalmic care.
Dr. Hakim graduated from the University of Aleppo, Syria, and obtained his Ophthalmology certification from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU), Germany. He subsequently completed advanced subspecialty training in Cataract and Refractive Surgery at Realeyes Eye Clinic in Munich, where he developed extensive expertise in state-of-the-art laser and lens-based vision correction procedures.
His clinical expertise includes Femto Laser–Assisted Cataract Surgery (FLACS), refractive procedures such as Femto LASIK, LASEK, TransPRK, SMILE, and PTK, as well as Implantable Contact Lenses (ICLs), multifocal and add-on intraocular lenses (IOLs), keratoconus management, corneal surface procedures, and comprehensive general ophthalmology care.
Throughout his career, Dr. Hakim has worked at leading medical hospitals in both Munich, Germany and Dubai, UAE. He has also contributed to scientific research, with published papers on cataract and retinal diseases in reputable international journals.
