Dr. Anna Monés

She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona (2005), she specialized in Ophthalmology, via MIR, at the Bellvitge University Hospital (2010). Throughout her professional career, she has combined her care work with teaching, being a Resident Tutor and Associate Professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona at the Campus Hospital Universitari Germans Trias i Pujol. She is also coordinator of the ophthalmology emergencies of said hospital.

In addition, she is the author and co-author of different publications, scientific and technical documents and has presented numerous papers at national and international conferences, obtaining several awards. She also participates in different national clinical trials in the area of pediatric ophthalmology and pediatrics.

  • Award for the best oral communication for "Medical and surgical management in a case of severe bilateral corneal caustication" at the XXVII Congress of the Spanish Society of Pediatric Strabismus and Ophthalmology (2019).
  • Award for the best retina and vitreous session video for “La punta del Iceberg”. Video-ophthalmology Festival (2018).
