New equipment for teaching in instructional surgery

31/10/2019

A new space has opened at the Centre which the first year medical residents had the chance to use for the first time. The unveiling took place during the surgical session entitled “How to make a corneoscleral incision and how to suture”, directed by Dr. Victor Charoenrook. During the class, new Zeiss OPMI pico microscopes were incorporated which, in addition to providing an excellent display for the eye structures, allow the student to record the procedure so they can review it afterwards with their surgical instructor.

The new tools, including the classroom, are a leap in quality in terms of the teaching provided at Barraquer and are a great benefit for the residents.
