A few months ago we gave you news of the ophthalmic and optometric check-ups that the Barraquer Foundation, in partnership with General Óptica, is carrying out at the facilities of the Aspasim Foundation, an organisation that has been working for over 80 years to improve the quality life of people with disabilities. In the two sessions held, a total of 50 patients turned up, some of whom were then referred to the Barraquer Ophthalmology Centre where they underwent different tests and treatments. The experience, which was very satisfactory for both parties and, above all, the people seen to, has led to the Barraquer Foundation and Aspasim Foundation formalising their partnership under an agreement which is part of the “Mirem per tu” programme. This approach means the Barraquer Foundation can continue to strengthen its social welfare work in the local area alongside social enterprises of reference in their respective fields of activity.
